As promised I was going to post differnt business ideas that came to mind that require little investment. This is the 4th blog that I am posting and today’s post is going to be an interesting business idea that I came up with that requires very little investment and has the potential to make good money.
Law Firm Recomandation Service
Everyone needs a lawyer at one point in their lives, for those indeveduals who are constatly involved in lawsuits its more then likley that they have relationships with lawyers, but the rest of the world only deals with a lawyer when a need comes along once in a blue moon. Its always a challange finding the right lawyer, and thats why lawyers are mostley recomended by existing customers, people that they have done a good job for so when the friend of the client needs a lawyer for an auto accident, past due traffic ticket, bad luck wrong place wrong time situation, they always turn to the lawyer that helped their friend get out of a similar situation. A good lawyer could work miricils, they know the law well, associalte with the right people that can make things happen. Thesel laywers and can get the imposible done and they usually specialize in one or two types fo cases.
First step, you start off by doing research on laywers in your area, DO THE RESEARCH, find out prices, see where the lawyer got his or her degree fom and determin if its a good lawschool or not. Find out how many cases he or she has tried and resarch the results, find out how much he or she charges for consultation, to trie the case, maybe they charge by the hour or by case. Find good laywers in your area, that is very important. Find a few that specialize in auto accidents, few that specilize in criminal cases, immigration, arbitrage and try to be prepaird for the customer. Have access to some economic options, some high price options and some mid-level options. Most of the time your clients are going to be recomended for the best and the cheapest laywer, sometimes they are going to ask for the mid-level and once in a while your clients are going to thell you that they don’t care how much it costs and they want the best laywer possible.
$$$ The second step is where you talk money. You meet the laywers that you have researched about and have deterimind that they are good to work with and you talk prices. Explain to the laywer that you would be recomending clients to them, your clients trust you and that this is what you do for a living, you pair up a good lawyer with a client that is in need of a lawyer. You need to ask for commission for every case you bring to the lawyer, this is where you let it all hang out, talk prices, ask for a flat fee or a %, thalk about when and how they are going to pay you and come to an agreement with the laywer. Understand that they make lots of money, accident layers, criminal cases, immigration, arbitrage, these guys make good money and they want more business. Keep in mind that there are plenty of lawyers and the competition is stiff so make sure that for every case you take to them you get make good commision, something that would make the time you put into this worth it. If it does not work out with one laywer, go the the next there is deffently lawyers out there who need the business and they will pay for the refferral. Once you start relationships with 3 or 4 laywers, you are ready to find customers. Remember finding a good, affordable lawyer is a challange so you need to always be looking around for more choices, better laywer, better commission and as time goes and you associate with clients you yourself will figure out who is who.
Print your business cards and start passing it out like candy. First start off with your friends, reletives, people you know, make sure you don’t sound like a newbe, talk confidently and make them feel secure, as if you have been in that industry for years and its your friends fault that he or she did not know about it. The more busienss cards you have out, the more chances you have of someone that needs your service contacting you. Make sure you explian your potential client that your service is not going to cost them anything, in fact you should tell them that you work with many lawyers and you get paid from them. Make sure you mention that when they contact you, they are going to be recomended to a good lawyer, someone you trust, someoneon you have already reffered clients to an they are very happy. Try to come up with prearrangements with lawyers special for your referrals so that you can offer something extra to your referral.
Problems happen all the time, people need laywers on daily bases, you might not see results immidatly, but I gurantee you if enough effort is put into this good proffits will imarge from it. The good thing about this idea is that you don’t have to do this full time, it could be something you do on the side and have a full time job. Connect a new cellphone maybe a pre-paid numbers so that it does not cost you much and just have it for this business so every time your phone rings you know that the call is related to the business and you can answer it in a profesional maner. Rmember professionalism is very important in this business, people need to be conforted that you know what you are doing and that they made a good desigion calling you. Eventually word will go around and your clients will refferr friends, family, co-workers etc. Take personal interest in every client, do whats neccessary, make a call every week to find out the progress, make sure that if there are problems with the communication between the customer and the lawyer, you are on top of it. Be profesional and curtious to both sides, be smart and opertunistic, educate yourself if you don’t know something and work hard.
